KAJ NAD SLOVENIJO POREČEJO TUJCI? INTERVJU S Sarah Deacon, UK
7 kratkih vprašanj in zanimivih odgovorov. Vprašali smo Sarah Deacon iz UK.
1. Were you in Slovenia only for visiting or did you live here? For how long?
I visited Slovenia 3 times before I moved there. I then lived in Slovenia for nearly 2 and a half years.
2. What was your first impression about Slovenia?
The first time I visited Slovenia was during a cold and miserable January but I absolutely fell in love with the country and I think I knew almost straight away that I would one day move there.
3. Where did you go for trips?
I have now travelled all over Slovenia to many different parts of the country. I lived in Ljubljana but visited places such as: Maribor, Celje, Ptuj, Cerknica, Koberid, Bled, Postojna and Bohinj to name just a few.
4.Which place did you find most fascinating and you would recommend to your friends?
I know it's cliched but I love Bled. It's such a beautiful place at any time of year. It never lost its magical quality for me even though I've now been there too many times to count.
5.Where did you get information about your trips?
I either got information from the internet or from friends who had been to different places.
6.What is the main difference in tourism between your country and Slovenia?
In the UK, tourism is really big in certain places like London or Oxford and I think tourists often go to see cities and the history found there. I feel that Slovenia has a lot more natural beauty and hidden gems. Tourists in Slovenia again only go to a few places but I feel like there is so much to see if you're willing to put in the time and effort to find these places.
7. List three of your favourite trips please.
Going to Bled is always top of my favourite trips. I also love Celje, it's not a big town but it has so much history and I just find it a peaceful place to go. No list is complete without mentioning Postojna and the caves there, they are just so stunning and the train ride is well worth the trip.
