St. Lawrence Hill in Bašelj
On a beautiful Saturday morning, Sv. Lawrence Hill attracts many people. Some sit on benches and on the grass around the church, others are busy taking photos and exploring the surroundings, some quickly turn around and start descending. However, they all have one thing in common: the view at the top astounds them even if just for a moment.
A partly steep but safe path leads to the Šum Waterfall, which is located on the Nemiljšica Stream. It is hidden in a high jug-shaped basin and makes a deep pool.
The town of Bled is best known for its lake and the church island that takes your breath away due to its extraordinary beauty. A rocky cliff with a medieval castle rises 120 m (393 feet) high over the lakeshore.
Blejska koča Hut
The Blejska koča Hut is located on the beautiful Lipanci Alpine Pasture, which lies on the slope of the Lipanski vrh Summit above the Pokljuka Plateau. You can recognize the Pokljuka Plateau by its magical spruce forest and a visit to the Blejska koča Hut is indeed a terrific idea for a family trip.
The Čukova jama Lake is one of the three lakes that make up the Bobovek lakes. If you are not a fan of massive tourism (which is typical of the Bled Lake and the Bohinj Lake), then this is a great idea for a trip.

He is a good person who is fighting an evil wild hunter from the mountains (Bedanec) and an evil herbalist woman from the mountains who steals children (Pehta).
Komenda Mountain Hut
The mountain hut is located on the outskirts of Komenda, below the Šenturška gora Mountain, on a small hill surrounded by trees. This is a real mountain paradise, as it is accessible to all who like to walk in the mountains and those who prefer to drive up with their car.
Kranj Circular Trail by the Kokra River
The old town of Kranj, the capital of the Gorenjska region, sits on a terrace above the 30-metre (98 feet) deep Kokra Canyon, which was formed by the Kokra River carving its way into the conglomerate terrace dating back to the Ice Age. Few people know that you can actually hide from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a pleasant oasis of trees in the Kokra River Canyon as well as look at the city of Kranj from a completely different perspective.

The Zelenci Nature Reserve lies just behind the village of Podkoren on the south side of the main road. This time we explored this beautiful area of Gorenjska by bike, and you can take this trip by baby stroller or on foot.

Križna Gora Hill, Škofja Loka
The town of Škofja Loka enchants every visitor with its medieval setting. Near its center stands the popular Križna Gora Hill, which can be a nice family trip, if you are willing to put in a little effort for a beautiful view. You reach the destination in no time because you can drive to the hilltop and take a short 20-minute walk from the inn to the nearby St. Cross Church.
Martuljek Waterfalls, Gozd Martuljek
Waterfalls are really something special and that is why these natural wonders are often the destinations of our family trips. The two Martuljek waterfalls are simply spectacular, and the path to the Spodnji (Lower) Martuljek Waterfall is easy enough for younger children. In the summer, a cool breeze by the river greets you along the way, and the trail runs under the pleasant shade of the trees.
Ojstrica Hill above the Bled Lake
Ojstrica and mala Osojnica are hills that rise above the western shore of the Bled Lake. Hike to the top and marvel at the beautiful view of the Bled Lake, the island, the castle and the Karawanks in the background.
