Route Description
This path is the newest attraction in Slovenia and surely, a friend has already shown you pictures from the tower. Do you want to hear a secret? It really is worth a visit!
The Tree Top Walk is located in the heart of the majestic forest of the Pohorje Mountains at the top of mountain Rogla that is 1,517 metres (4,977 feet) high. Even the car to the location is soothing, the bird’s eye view, however, is another sort of experience. After paying the entrance fee, you set off on a kilometre-long (0.10-mile) journey, where adrenaline and educational stops entertain and distract the children. Puppies are sadly not allowed on the trail, but they can be left at the entrance in neat and tidy wooden dog huts. You walk 20 meters (65.7 feet) high above the ground and admire the spirally wound and architecturally beautiful tower that is 37 meters (121.4 feet) tall. Nobody is immune to the beautiful view or goes home without at least 20 pictures on his/her phone.
Interesting Facts
Rogla is one of the most important Slovenian winter sports centres. It was opened in 1975 and it lies on the top of Pohorje hills at 1.517 meter (4,977 feet) of altitude in the municipality of Zreče. According to the total length of the ski slopes, it is the seventh largest ski resort in Slovenia.
