Soča Circular Trail
The Soča River flows out of a karst spring in the lower part of the Velika dnina Slope, a few tens of meters above the bottom of the Zadnja Trenta Valley, at an altitude of 990 m (3,248 feet). In spring and summer, the uppermost part of the Soča River is a beautiful alpine stream. It flows in the form of small waterfalls past towards the bottom of the valley, where a small tributary from the Trenta Valley joins in.

Vipava River Springs
The Vipava River has a total of seven permanent springs and all are located right here in the town of Vipava. Its main sources are the Podskala and Podfarovž double springs, located only a few meters from the Main Square, behind Lanthieri's manor. The other sources of the river spring up behind Tabor, Podlipca, Jama and Sleženec. The Vipava River’s springs are unique in Europe due to their delta-like semblance.

Many idyllic locations in this country really show how beautiful Slovenia is. We recently discovered one such "pearl" near the town of Nova Gorica, the Vitovsko jezero Lake/Vitovlje Lake. It is a crystal-clear 10-metre (10-yard) long lake located in the middle of a forest. Above it stands the beautiful St. Mary’s Church.
