The Soča River flows out of a karst spring in the lower part of the Velika dnina Slope, a few tens of meters above the bottom of the Zadnja Trenta Valley, at an altitude of 990 m (3,248 feet). In spring and summer, the uppermost part of the Soča River is a beautiful alpine stream. It flows in the form of small waterfalls past towards the bottom of the valley, where a small tributary from the Trenta Valley joins in.

Sveta Trojica je razgleden vrh, ki je visok kar 1.106m. Leži vzhodno od Pivke, če pa smo pozorni, lahko cerkvico na golem vrhu opazimo že od daleč. Že v 17. stoletju naj bi stala tam, vendar je kasneje propadla. Pred kratkim so jo ponovno pozidali in lahko nudi tudi zavetje pred vetrom, okrog pa so razporejene klopi. Tu naokrog naj bi se po legendi potikal tudi Martin Krpan.
